For Balboa, there are some minimum requirements at both levels:

  • Level 1 (Baby Bal) - this class is aimed at 'new Balboa dancers', but you must at least be familiar with the basic rhythms (uphold, downhold, and breaktime), and be able to do a breakturn and throw out.
  • Level 2 (Big Bal) - for this class you must have been dancing Balboa consistently for at least 6 months, and be comfortable dancing all the basic pure Balboa and Bal-Swing moves (Breakturn, Throw Out, Scoots, Paddles, Lollies, and Crossovers) at 200bpm.

private lessons

All our international teachers will be in town and available for private lessons from the Friday through to Monday (when not otherwise teaching workshops). Time slots will be limited so put your name down when you register to secure your spot (first in first served).
